Magical experience!

Fantastic day on jeep safari. Saw 3 Leoprds, 17 elephants close and personal as well as a variety of birds and reptiles. Well worth a visit. Our driver was fantastic and had great sense of humor.

Great trip

Fanbloodytastic! Saw all of the animals in their natural environment. 3 leopards up close, elephants, wild boar, crocodiles, water buffalo, a bear and truckloads of bird life. Sure it is a tourist mecca and lots of jeeps bouncing around and gathering at each sighting, but it is a lot less expensive than a south African safari. We had knowledgeable driver guide who know to avoid the crowd, we had a private day out because of our fantastic driver, who were as enthusiastic and excited as us at each sighting with high fives all round. Highly recommended the tour with Sheehan Safaris!

Enjoyed

We had amazing full day tour with Shehan safaris. The driver is very polite and had an excellent knowledge about wildlife. The rates are very reasonable and very comfortable land cruiser jeep. We had a luck to see 3 leopard sightings for our whole day tour. The driver did great job to find us the animals.

Great tour! Highlight of our trip!

We had an excellent tour of Yala National Park. Our driver/guide Sakun was extremely knowledgeable and engaging, teaching us new information about each of the animals we came across.

The safari was four hours in total and we saw a huge range of wildlife including the elusive leopard, majestic elephants, giant crocodiles that lunged out of the water while hunting, and even a rare sighting of a Changeable Hawk Eagle trying to hunt a peahen. Alongside this, we saw a wide range of birds and other animals. On the whole, this was an excellent trip that we will not forget.

Well worth the money

This review is well over-due. I went on a solo trip to Sri Lanka back in August of this year. I booked my trip with Shehan Safari for the Yala Adventure park before my trip, even though I’ve heard you can find less expensive jeep safari trips on-site. Even though Shehan was a bit more expensive, I have no regrets! I was the only one in the Jeep and my guide, Yasanka, was friendly and knowledgable. He has been a tour guide for about 4 years and knows the park well. He made recommendations on where we should go and when in order to be able to see the animals I wanted. We started with the leopard early in the morning since they are easier to find around that time. Although, there is no guarantee on animal sitings, we were able to get up close and personal with a leopard, families of elephants, wild boars, birds, etc. I had the 6-hour tour and they provided me with a snack (sandwich, cookies, water), which was an added plus. I highly recommend Shehan Tours (especially Yasanka!).

Just great!!

We did the afternoon safari in the park and had such a great time. Our guide Yasanka had such a good eye he literally spotted every animal
– no matter how far it was away. He showed us through the whole park in a quite new and super comfortable jeep and the best thing was: it wasn’t as busy as in the other parks. He also took us to the beach side, we saw crocodiles, monkeys, elephants, birds, peacocks and had a lot of fun. He also offered to take pictures of me and my friend which was great. At the end he brought us to a place where we could have dinner and dropped us off at the hotel again. So friendly – totally recommend !

Fab whole day!

My daughters and I have just been on a safari with Shehan Safaris. It was truly a great experience. We saw many wild animal including a family of elephants and 3 leopards which were the highlight of the trip!

Booking was quick and easy online. You pay online. Our drive/guide Sakun was marvelous. Jostling to the top of the line and fast to get to the animals first.

Unforgettable experience

We thoroughly enjoyed our safari. Dilan was a great driver/guide and our accommodation exceeded our expectations. We saw more wildlife close up than we expected including a leopard eating a spotted deer and elephants eating grass so close that we could hear them crunching/munching respectively.
Shehan Safaris were very professional, I recommend them.

Incredible Morning Safari

Yesterday my partner and I went on the morning Safari to Yala’s National park with Yasanka as our driver and guide. Probably one of the best mornings of my life, Yasanka was punctual polite and really informative about the park and the animals in it! We were lucky enough to see a leopard, crocodiles, an eagle, different species of monkeys, wild boar and several herd of elephants and lone male elephants it was fantastic! Highly recommend Yasanka and Shehan Safari! Perfect morning!

Best Safari Service Ever

Truly great experience, great guide and very professional pick up. The vehicle was top notch and specially customized for safaris. The suspension was good and has quality seats. We booked 7 hour Morning tour. We actually saw 2 leopards. Prepare for the long ride, and pack some snacks and drinks with you.
